The stroke
On 18 February 2021, a massive ischemic stroke in the brainstem stopped everything. In the beginning, my body retained only breath and heartbeat. Everything else — movement, speech, the simple act of holding a cup — had to be relearned.
2021–2026
Five and a half years
Progress was measured in millimetres. First a finger moved. Then a hand closed. Then the hand remembered what it loved most: making things. Crystal by crystal, bead by bead, my hands found their way back.

The return
KiiTOS was born — from gratitude, and in memory of a beloved dog who sat beside me through the hardest nights. Every bracelet I string is proof that an ending can become a beginning.

Dear friend,
On 18 February 2021, a massive ischemic stroke in the brainstem changed my life! In the beginning, my body retained only breath and heartbeat. However, after five and a half years of unrelenting rehabilitation — and a willpower forged in hardship — I found a path to express myself with dignity, not through words, but through the fine, intricate craft of jewelry-making.
My work features complex beading, delicate floral patterns, and rich layers of colour — capturing the vibrant beauty of life! Every bead threaded, every twist of the cord, every carefully placed natural mineral represents a victory of neural adaptation and the return of fine motor skills.
For me, creation is not merely an artistic pursuit — it is a profound dialogue with my own body, a rehabilitation diary written every day, and a celebration of rebirth.
KiiTOS means gratitude — and it is also the name I whispered to the dog who stayed by my bed through the worst of it. He is gone now. This brand is how he, and I, carry on.
Through my art and the rehabilitation diary I share online, I want to send a message of profound, unyielding resilience to the world. My work is living proof that even after a devastating storm, true and pure beauty can be pieced back together — bead by bead.
KiiTOS was made possible with founding support from Honor U Ministry (iCare), a non-profit charitable organization in Hong Kong. Their belief in second chances gave this studio its first breath.
